How to Use TinyUmbrella 6.12.00 to Restore Your iPhone Firmware

How to Use TinyUmbrella 6.12.00 to Restore Your iPhone Firmware

TinyUmbrella is a small and useful utility for iPhone users running iOS that can revert your phone's firmware to a previous version. It does so by saving SHSH blobs to the device. SHSH blobs are digital signatures that authenticate the firmware version on your iPhone. By saving them, you can downgrade or jailbreak your device without losing any data.

Tinyumbrella 6.12.00 Download For Windowsl

In this article, we will show you how to use TinyUmbrella 6.12.00 to restore your iPhone firmware. This version of TinyUmbrella is compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 10 (both 32-bit and 64-bit). You will also need to have Java Runtime Environment installed on your PC.

Step 1: Download and Install TinyUmbrella 6.12.00

You can download TinyUmbrella 6.12.00 from FileHorse [^1^] or LO4D [^2^]. The file size is about 40 MB. After downloading, run the installer and follow the instructions to complete the installation.

Step 2: Connect Your iPhone to PC via USB Cable

Make sure your iPhone is turned on and unlocked. Connect it to your PC via a USB cable. Launch TinyUmbrella from the desktop shortcut or the Start menu. The program will automatically detect your device and display its information on the main window.

Step 3: Save Your SHSH Blobs

On the left side of the TinyUmbrella window, you will see a list of available firmware versions for your device. Select the one you want to save and click on the "Save SHSH" button at the top right corner. The program will then contact Apple's server and retrieve the SHSH blobs for that firmware version. You will see a message saying "SHSH Saved" when the process is done.

The saved SHSH blobs will be stored in a folder named ".shsh" in your user directory (e.g., C:\Users\YourName\.shsh). You can also view them in TinyUmbrella by clicking on the "Log" tab at the bottom of the window.

Step 4: Restore Your iPhone Firmware

Now that you have saved your SHSH blobs, you can restore your iPhone firmware to that version. To do this, you need to put your device into recovery mode or DFU mode first.

To enter recovery mode, press and hold the Power and Home buttons on your device until you see the Apple logo. Then release the Power button but keep holding the Home button until you see a message saying "Connect to iTunes" on your device screen.

To enter DFU mode, press and hold the Power and Home buttons on your device for 10 seconds. Then release the Power button but keep holding the Home button for another 10 seconds until your device screen goes black.

Once your device is in recovery mode or DFU mode, open iTunes on your PC. You will see a message saying "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode" or "iTunes has detected an iPhone in DFU mode". Click on the "OK" button.

Then hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and click on the "Restore iPhone" button in iTunes. A file browser window will pop up. Navigate to the folder where you saved your SHSH blobs (e.g., C:\Users\YourName\.shsh) and select the IPSW file that matches the firmware version you want to restore.

Click on the "Open" button and confirm your choice by clicking on the "Restore" button in iTunes. The program will then verify the IPSW file with Apple's server using your SHSH blobs and start restoring your device.

The process may take several minutes depending on your internet speed and device model. Do not disconnect your device or close iTunes until it is done. You will see a message e0e6b7cb5c
