When my order arrived I was very impressed. The items had been packaged in the best possible way to stay fresh. There was even a cold pack inside! We never have enough cold packs in our house, so to me this was an added bonus. I had chosen to order a combination of a dozen strawberries and ten cherries. Each type of fruit was packaged in a nice box with a ribbon. Truly it would make a beautiful gift.
I received the package for Valentine's Day from my daughter and family i received them on time. They were very well packaged and were cold. When I opened the box I found the strawberries to be medium in size and were hard and lacked flavor. The chocolate coating was disappointing and the dipped cookies were dry and tasted old and not like fresh baked. I know my daughter paid a lot to do something nice for me but as much as I hated to complain I. had to tell her the truth. Sorry but Iwould never recommended these berries and maybe the end result would've been different if they had been in season but what's the excuse for the cookies? Why can't you use real choc.? Hi Beverly, I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to reply. A lot has been going on in my life right now and I haven't been paying a lot of attention to my blog. I'm also sorry you had a bad experience with Shari's Berries. I still stand behind my review, but it is 2 years old and things can change. The berries should have been cold so that the chocolate didn't melt during transportation, and I suppose the strawberry crops this year might not be the best...I didn't try the cookies so I can't say anything about those. If you're really upset though it probably would be best to contact Shari's Berries.
